After going to the La Brea Tar Pits, Dad and I walked along Wilshire Blvd, because we had seen a bunch of food trucks, and they looked funny:
But I was incredibly excited when we came upon this!
That is Urban Lights, an art display outside of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. I have seen this in different posts on photographers' sites, and have always wondered where it was. And there it was!
Urban Lights has also been featured in several movies, most recently in the (horrible) movie "No Strings Attached" with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. Thanks to Kristen for the reminder!
It has also been featured in a Tori Amos music video (Maybe California: 1:18 mark), and a Glee photoshoot.
After we walked around the lights for a little bit, we went across the street to walk by the food trucks, and lo and behold, we saw this:
I said to Dad, "That looks like the Berlin Wall." We walked up to it, and it turns out, it WAS the Berlin Wall. (Click on the next two photos to read more)
We had seen one block outside of the Reagan Library, but it was cool to see multiple blocks all set up together. This is the largest section of the wall outside of Germany. The side with the big footprint faced East Germany. We surmised that it was to prevent people from digging underneath.
Pretty cool things to stumble upon!

weren't those lights in that movie no strings attached with Ashton and Natalie portman?

There's a far away shot but I'm pretty sure they are. :)
Yes, you are right! I meant to write about that when I did the entry, but totally forgot. Thanks for the reminder--I've updated the entry!
