Mmm...Slaw Dogs

It seems like I only ever post about food.

But that's okay.  Because you know what is amazing about LA?  THE FOOD.

You can get anything here.  An-y-thing.

On Sunday, Nick and I went to Slaw Dogs.   It recently opened in our neighborhood, and I heard about it through my favorite Twitter feed, @ValleyFoodTruck.

These guys specialize in hot dogs.  And not just any hot dogs.  They have 13 different hot dogs to choose from, and 63 different ingredients!!

That is the owner, Ray.  He is one of the nicest guys ever!
Here's their "set" menu:

With so many options, it was difficult to decide on what to get.  I mean, everything sounds good when you're hungry!!

I decided to go with my standby: plain, all-beef hot dog, with ketchup and sauerkraut.  I also got a "slawdog".

Nick got the BLT dog: all-beef hot dog, lettuce, tomato, bacon, avocado, garlic mayo.

And we shared the Slaw Dog Basket: half onion rings, half fries.

We both agreed that the dogs were amazing!!  And Nick said that the fries and onion rings were probably the best he had ever eaten.  Seriously, he was like, licking the basket when we were done.

Here's a Food Network video about Slaw Dogs, with the restaurant owner Ray.  In this video, they show how to make the TNT Dog.  They also use some Cal Tech students to figure out exactly how many combinations of hot dogs you can have.  Math nerds unite!  You have to see it to believe it, so go to their website and watch it: http://www.theslawdogs.com/

We will definitely return!  We love @TheSlawDogs!
